We have noted a clear link between social isolation and educational deficiencies. Traditional education is being increasingly challenged and has in many cases become "reactionary". There appears to be a growing gap between rapidly changing society, culture, politics, economy and production and the knowledge and values provided by the classroom. It is certainly difficult to keep teachers up-to-date in key matters or to interest students in tasks that are of little import to daily life and work. Companies make ever increasing training demands on their personnel, and human resource managers must constantly struggle against the evident failings in the education of the workers they hire and the insufficient training received at work itself.
